Grand Island Senior High is making its mark in the prestigious Holocaust Essay Contest hosted by the Institute for Holocaust Education in Omaha, as an Islander has won the contest for the second year in a row. This year's winner is Anni Nguyen.
GISH is pleased to share the following coaching updates for Girls Wrestling, Boys Soccer, and Cheerleading for the 2025-26 school year.
Free breakfast and lunch will be available to children ages 1 to 18 years old starting on Monday, June 2, 2025 at five GIPS school locations.
The 2025 crew of 11 GISH Registered Apprenticeship signees will gain on-site, work-based experience as welders, automotive techs, and manufacturing techs. On Sunday, May 11th, 2025, Grand Island Senior High honored nearly 600 graduating Seniors at the annual Commencement Ceremony. Part of the program included a message shared by a student speaker, per school tradition. Jocelyn Richling, a member of GISH National Honor Society and a positive, vocal student leader, shared a message with her graduating class and the packed arena of the Heartland Events Center.
